Applications for Birth and Death Certificates are accepted Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Applications will not be accepted after 4:30 p.m. The Vital Records Office will remain open from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday to answer questions. Birth Certificate The City of Arlington Vital Records Office is responsible for ensuring that every birth and death occurring in the city limits of Arlington is properly registered and submitted to the Texas Department of State Health Services Vital Statistics Unit for recording. This office has birth records for all Texas births from 1903 to present. Death records after April 1971 may also be obtained in this office.
